Stora Enso China in brief

Stora Enso started its business in China since 1985. Currently, Stora Enso's main interests in China are the further development of its Suzhou Mill, Dawang Mill, Stora Enso Inpac, Corenso's core plants in Hangzhou & Foshan, to improve profitability perspectives of imported products from our European production units and to pursue value-adding business opportunities such as the Forest-Pulp-and-Paper Integrate Project in Guangxi, to meet the increasing demand of our customers in the world fastest growing market.

Stora Enso is the global rethinker of the packaging, paper and wood products industry. We always rethink the old and expand to the new to offer our customers innovative solutions based on renewable materials.

The Group has some 30 000 employees and 85 production units worldwide, and is a publicly traded company listed in Helsinki and Stockholm. Our customers include publishers, printing houses and paper merchants, as well as the packaging, joinery and construction industries.

Our annual production capacity is 11.8 million tonnes of paper and board, 1.3 billion square metres of corrugated packaging and 6.4 million cubic metres of sawn wood products, including 3.2 million cubic metres of value-added products. Our sales in 2010 were EUR 10.3 billion, with an operating profit excluding non-recurring items and fair valuations of EUR 754.1 million.
