Stora Enso Oyj 

Stora Enso is a young company, only a few years old, but its roots go back a very long way.

On this section we tell you what happened before STORA and Enso merged in December 1998. Our journey of nearly 1,000 years takes us to Scandinavia, Europe and North America and shows us some of the turning points in world politics, some highlights in industrial history and portraits of remarkable personalities. But it also tells us stories about ordinary people and events.
