Welcome to Imavere Sawmill
Imavere Sawmill is part of the Stora Enso Timber Northern European Unit. It is located in Imavere, a small rural municipality in central Estonia. The sawmill was established in 1995 as the largest sawmill in the Baltic countries.
The cooperation with Stora Enso dates back to 1995. From the very beginning, the mill has invested only in the best and most modern technologies. The sawmill's success rests on the efficient and developing staff and courageous investment decisions.
Sawn timber makes up 80% of the core production of Imavere Sawmill, and value-added products 20%. A unit producing ready-to-use components for door and window manufacturers has been in operation since 2000 and a planer unit manufacturing profile boards since 2001. The development of component production has continued as a strategic field of activity for Imavere Sawmill with second component line in 2004. In August 2005 was inaugurated a beam mill, which produces glued-laminated beams mainly to japanese market.
Imavere Sawmill employs 299 people, thus having an important role in the local community as a major employer: unemployment has practically disappeared and Imavere has become a rural municipality with a boosting economy.
