Welcome to Imatra Mills 

 

Imatra Mills comprise two production units: Kaukopää and Tainionkoski. Together they employ around 1000 people. Karhula coating mill in the southern coast also belongs to Imatra Mills organizationally.  Imatra Mills produce a million tonnes of board and paper annually, over 90 % of this going for export. The most important market is Europe, but a substantial share of exports also goes to Southeast Asia.

Imatra Mills produce board and paper. Liquid packaging boards are manufactured for all main liquid packaging systems. The end products include milk and juice cartons. Typical applications of food service boards are paper cups and various food packages. Packaging boards are produced for the food, confectionery and tobacco industries. Graphic boards are used for book covers, cards and luxury packaging. Also high-quality packaging papers are made in Imatra Mills.

Stora Enso’s Imatra Mills are situated some 250 km east of Helsinki in the town of Imatra on the southern shore of Lake Saimaa. Karhula coating mill is located some 100 km east of Helsinki close to the southern coast of Finland.
