The production of corrugated board begins in Ruovesi under the name Ruoveden Pakkaus Oy (privately owned company).
Ruoveden Pakkaus is acquired by Tambox Europe; the company name is changed to Expopak Oy and it continues it's operations as a subsidiary of Tambox Europe.
Enso’s packaging division and Tambox Europe merge to become Pakenso. Expopak becomes a subsidiary of Pakenso.
At the end of the year 1998 Expopax is merged to the parent company Pakenso.
Swedish Stora and Finnish Enso merge in December 1998. At the turn of millennium Pakenso becomes Stora Enso Packaging.
