Welcome to Alytus Sawmill 

Alytus Sawmill is situated in southern Lithuania between Vilnius and Kaunas about 50 km from both the Belarussian and Polish borders. It operates as a part of the Stora Enso Timber Northern European Unit. Construction of the sawmill took place during 2003. There have been large investments to the new sawmill – a log sorting line with 60 bins, a small-diametre sawline, boiler house, 8 drying chambers, a new planer ill and a finger-jointing line. The sawmill also has its own railway cnnection.

Alytus Sawmill started in September 2003. Sawmill production will mainly be redwood studs for USA and Australian markets and 50 mm planks for the furniture industry. At the same time, Alytus Sawmill tries to meet the wide variety of customer requests.
