Gruvön Sawmill 

Gruvön Sawmill operates as a part of Stora Enso Wood Products Norhern European Unit. Recent investment in modern technologies of production and further processing gives this mill one of the highest quality production possibilities within Sweden. 

The sawmill is located on the shore of Lake Vänern, 25 km west of Karlstad, surrounded by large land holdings which guarantee a long-term raw material supply. The majority of shipments from the mill are with vessels entering and exiting Lake Vänern via Trollhätte canal.

Energy generated from the sawmill´s fibre products is bought back from the close-by pulp mill power plant and transferred by pipelines to kilns and for other heating purposes.
