Skutskär Pulp Mill - an ever changing mill
Skutskär is a swedish pulp mill, established over one hundred years ago. The sulphate mill was founded in 1894. It became a natural part of the area’s industrial development, which had started with an iron works in the 17th century. For decades the mill has continuously developed and recently a major renovation and rationalization program was completed to strengthen the mill for the 21st century. Today the Skutskär mill has a workforce of about 385 people and produces approximately 530 000 tons of paper pulp and fluff pulp.
Skutskär Pulp Mill manufactures bleached pulp, used for paper pulp and fluff pulp, on three production lines. The production is first class, which meets very high standards concerning environmental protection and quality requirements in terms of strength, brightness and cleanness.
