Stora Enso and CHARM – a good combination
Over the years, Stora Enso and Chalmers University of Technology in Gothenburg, Sweden, have developed a far-reaching collaboration for the mutual benefit of students and the forestry industry. As one of the main sponsors for the fourth consecutive year, it is evident that Stora Enso has established itself as a natural alternative for Chalmers' graduates as they contemplate a future in the labour market.
“Our long and successful partnership has definitely strengthened our brand image and recognition,” says Carita Wahlberg, who is responsible for Stora Enso’s contacts with the academic sphere.
This year’s Chalmers Labour Market Days event (known as CHARM) attracted a record number of participating employers. Nearly 180 companies of varying size took the chance the present themselves to prospective job-seekers.
In its capacity as head sponsor, Stora Enso had gathered a large and varied team of representatives from R&D, succession management, human resources, administration, communications, maintenance, engineering, etc.
“We really look for people with the right attitude. Stora Enso needs skilled individuals with energy and enthusiasm who can contribute to profitability with a focus on the customers, shareholders and other stakeholders,” says Magnus Rasmusson, Communications Officer at Hylte Mill.
"Stora Enso’s various units are continuing their strategic and extensive school contact activities from preschool to the university level, where the underlying aim is to recruit the right talent to lead Stora Enso into the future,” says Carita Wahlberg.
