Stora Enso New Business Creation is the company’s launch pad for new business. Our mission is to harness the specialist knowhow, capacities and global resources of Stora Enso to transform feasible innovations from outside and within the company into profitable businesses by providing incubation and venturing tools.

Incubation

Our incubation process covers everything from crystallizing and testing the business idea in the value chain, to eventually creating a project plan with a clear business case description. The incubation toolbox includes financing, verification of technologies, branding and market positioning, legal protection of the concept and network of specialists.

Venturing

Stora Enso Ventures, our corporate venture capital company, invests in start-up and early stage businesses. Stora Enso Ventures may act as the lead investor or co-investor and the target is to maximize the value of the investment within a 5 year period. We support innovative, dynamic and entrepreneurial spirited ventures which have a strategic linkage to Stora Enso's core businesses, substantial growth potential and attractive financial prospects. In addition to financing we provide added value by for example sales and business development, production and technology expertise and team recruitment from our extensive network.
