Christiane Yoshinaga, HR Director for Latin America
Christiane is the current Human Resources Director for Latin America. She holds a law degree from the Pontifícia Universidade Católica in São Paulo, Brazil.
“Stora Enso was looking for a professional with experience in the Human Resources area in Brazil.I started to work at Stora Enso via a trainee programme with the aim of understanding the corporate culture, Stora Enso governance and the way of doing business. By the end of the training I was able to combine local and corporate HR practices.
“After the trainee programme I participated in a task force at Veracel Mill for eight months. Our aim was to organise and restructure the administrative areas of the mill. After that I went on to Stora Enso Latin America, more specifcly to the forestry plantation project in southern Brazil. I was responsible for the recruitment process of the team, the implementation of HR practices and the implementation of the Stora Enso culture in the projects. From there I later moved on to my current position as the Human resources Director for Latin America.
“In my opinion Stora Enso has succeeded in obtaining the best combination of experienced professionals and young talents. The corporate values, transparency and ethics build a constructive environment and make Stora Enso a wonderful place to work at.
“One particular positive aspect about working at Stora Enso is ‘people’. At Stora Enso we have very qualified people willing to perform, driven for long-term performance and real team players. All in all, Stora Enso is a company in constant change, bringing on new challenges and great opportunities!”
