As a result of requests to convert Stora Enso A shares into R shares received during this year's conversion period (16-27 September 2002), 1 143 700 series A shares will be converted into R shares. The conversions are due to be recorded in the Finnish trade register on 3 October 2002 and trading in the new R shares will start on 4 October 2002.
