WebAward for Best Investor Relations Website
Stora Enso’s Web Reports 2001 minisite has been adjudged the Best Investor Relations Website in the 2002 WebAward Competition in New York.
The Stora Enso 2001 minisite contains the Annual and Environmental Reports, both unabridged. The aim of the project was to produce user-friendly, well-functioning web versions of the reports utilising different media elements, such as sound, animation and video. The user can for instance listen to and watch an interview with Stora Enso's CEO, Jukka Härmälä, and view a flash animation of how a paper machine functions.
The Stora Enso Reports 2001 minisite, which is Stora Enso’s first web report, was produced jointly with the Finnish web agency Axel Digital Oy, part of Evia Group.
The award was presented by the Web Marketing Association (WMA) in its “WebAwards” annual competition, which assesses corporate websites against an Internet standard and against peer sites within industries.
Nordic Award 2002 from Investor Relations Magazine
Stora Enso has also been awarded the Best Investor Relations Web Site prize by Investor Relations Magazine in its Nordic Awards 2002. The site was praised for ease of navigation and the amount of financial and environmental information.
The Investor Relations Magazine Awards are internationally recognized measures of excellence in IR, as they are based on independent evaluation by portfolio managers, buy-side analysts and sell-side analysts. More than two hundred respondents participated in this year’s survey.
