Stora Enso to modernise paper machine 2 at Summa

Stora Enso will upgrade and modernise paper machine 2 at its Publication Paper mill at Summa, Finland. The machine manufactures magazine and improved newsprint papers. The capital expenditure of EUR 53 million will be allocated equally between years 2004 and 2005. The project is scheduled to be completed in April 2005.
 
The aim of the rebuild is to improve efficiency and competitiveness by developing the machine towards higher-value-added grades with healthy demand growth. Following the rebuild, the machine will start to produce premium MF Magazine paper grades suitable for both heatset and rotogravure printing. The product features have been specifically developed to meet the needs of special interest magazines, retailing and catalogues.
