Stora Enso Oyj was informed on 3 March 2008 that the shares in the Company held by AXA S.A. and its subsidiaries (AXA Group) has risen above 5% of the paid-up share capital on 7 September 2007 and above 10% of the paid-up share capital on 2 November 2007.
With reference to Chapter 2, paragraph 10 of the Finnish Securities Markets Act, Stora Enso Oyj is reporting that as of 7 September 2007 and 2 November 2007 the shareholding of AXA Group is as follows:
