STORA ENSO OYJ STOCK EXCHANGE RELEASE 12 December 2008 at 07.00 GMT
Stora Enso Oyj received on 11 December 2008 a notification with reference to
Chapter 2, paragraph 9 of the Finnish Securities Markets Act.
As anticipated in the release published on 22 October 2008, the Finnish State
has transferred all of its shareholding in Stora Enso Oyj to Solidium Oy
(company ID 0866693-1) owned 100% by the Finnish State. As a result of the
transaction, the shareholding of the Finnish State is now below and the
shareholding of Solidium Oy is now above the shareholding limits defined in
Chapter 2, paragraph 9 of the Finnish Securities Markets Act.
With reference to Chapter 2, paragraph 10 of the Finnish Securities Markets Act,
Stora Enso Oyj is reporting that on 11 December 2008 the shareholdings of the
Finnish State and Solidium Oy are as follows:
