Heavy Duty in export

Cargo Box

Heavy Duty (Kraftwell) has many benefits in export deliveries. Double wall corrugated board is strong and durable material, which gives good support to the product. In addition, corrugated board’s ingenuous construction provides great chock absorption capabilities during the delivery. The light weight of corrugated cardboard reduces the gross weight of the transport, which means savings in logistic costs, especially in air cargo costs. All Heavy Duty products, made of renewable natural resources, are easy to recycle. Low material costs make Heavy Duty products very cost efficient.

Due to the design of the Heavy Duty Cargo container (in the picture), there is no need for wooden pallet. Wooden and plywood pallet collars can also be replaced with Heavy Duty pallet collars which are made of strong corrugated board.

Did you know that...

Nowadays a lot of countries use the FAO standard ISPM No. 15 in international trade. ISPM 15 - “Guidelines for regulating wood packaging material in international trade” - defines handling and marking specifications for wood packaging materials in international trade.  This means that wooden packaging material has to be heat-treated or fumigated with methyl bromide in order to reduce the risk of the spread of pests and diseases from country to another.

For example China, Australia and New Zealand have strict requirements for the wood packaging material. In addition to the ISPM 15 -standard, Australia and New Zealand requires that the wooden material has to be completely bark-free and plywood has to have a Phytosanitary (plant health) Certificate.
