Scanstar and WorldStar for pallet collar 

More International Recognition for Stora Enso Packaging’s Product Innovations

Stora Enso Packaging’s active efforts in developing product innovations have again received recognition, as a stackable pallet collar designed by Mika Tuhkunen and Jari Rinne has won both Nordic Scanstar and worldwide WorldStar packaging awards.

The pallet collar, developed as a result of product innovation initiatives, is simple and easy to assemble. Thanks to their interlocking tongues, the collars can be stacked to achieve the desired pallet height. Notably, the collars require no separate attachment pieces that would cause additional costs. The corrugated board collars are light to handle but still provide a strong structure to protect the goods inside. Being made of just one material, the collars are easily recyclable.

These awards received by the stackable pallet collar are a natural continuation of the Nordic Scanstar and worldwide Worldstar awards, received in 2004 and 2006 by a reel package for lengthy continuous items and a binding protector designed by Stora Enso Packaging.
