Stora Enso in FEPE congress

Store Enso envelopes

FEPE is the European envelope manufacturers’ association with a two-day congress every autumn. In this year’s event Stora Enso sponsored day one focusing on the environment.

Approximately 90 delegates with an interest in the industry gathered in Prague for two days at the end of September to hear from experts on issues ranging from environmental policies to adding value to the business. And, also to discuss the challenging times the industry is facing.

Stora Enso sponsored day one, with a focus on environmental issues, which is clearly among the most significant challenges for the paper-mail value chain. This was highlighted by Mrs Irena Belohorskà, who is a member of the European Parliament's Environmental Committee, the largest committee in the Parliament at present. The session also included experts highlighting the ongoing work on measuring the carbon footprint.

There are not only difficulties ahead, but also possibilities. One of them is the vast amount of direct mailers used when marketing products and services. As the biggest envelope paper producer in Europe, Stora Enso is an extremely important player on the market, and will of course make the best of this possibility.
