New DeLight Solution!
challenge: how to differentiate products in a store?
solution: Stora Enso DeLight standing out through its shape.
Stora Enso is introducing its new DeLight Solution for consumer goods packaging. The secret of the fibre-based tray lies in its strengthened rim, which ensures that even the most challenging forms hold together and are effectively sealed.
“Stora Enso DeLight is a ready answer to two rising consumer megatrends: self-expression and environmental awareness,” says Jalliina Järvinen, Head of Delight Solution at Stora Enso. “The new product is based on a technical innovation in package converting that enables us to introduce new shapes and user-friendly functions into fibre-based packaging. Excellent printability, tactile properties and environmental benefits are other advantages of DeLight.”
Stora Enso DeLight is a fibre-based package that offers an attractive alternative to many competing materials in terms of sustainability. Compared with traditional packaging materials such as aluminium and CPET, DeLight is light-weight and recyclable. The packaging is suitable for MAP (Modified Atmosphere Packaging) and has excellent light barrier properties.
The first customer to bring this innovation into shops is the food-processing company Atria, whose new Atria Fresh microwave dishes are packed in DeLight trays. Atria chose DeLight Solution to support its new Atria Fresh product concept. It is the biggest product launch by Atria this year and aimed at attracting new consumer groups for ready meals.
Stora Enso DeLight Solution is intended for the European market. The services include single pilot launches and testing, consulting and packaging outsourcing as turnkey solutions in line with customer demands.
