Support for new investments from R&D 

Investments in the paper industry are usually very expensive and have a long life expectancy –  in many cases more than 20 years. It is therefore of utmost importance that every investment is well prepared to minimise the risk of failure. The combined production and development experience and resources of the mills and the Research Centres are often used in the pre-project as well as in the start-up phases of larger investments.  

One example is the investment in a new paper machine for magazine at Kvarnsveden Mill in Sweden.
