Stora Enso´s resources for research and development constitute a powerful asset to meet ever-increasing demands on quality, productivity and new products. 

More than 270 employees at Stora Enso are involved in Research and Development activities. Some 160 of these carries out extensive research and development work at our three Research Centres. More than half of the R&D staff have an academic degree, and many have doctoral degrees.

We work continuously to strengthen our capabilities through competence development, knowledge management, and knowledge exchange.
