Wood products sales to North Africa and Middle East countries are handled by RETS Timber, Helsinki in Finland and Stora Enso Timber doo, Koper in Slovenia. The companies export soft wood products for the market areas of Egypt, Algeria, Tunisia, Saudi Arabia and Morocco.

RETS Timber is a trading company partly owned by Stora Enso Wood Products (50%) and UPM Kymmene Oyj (50%). The company sells Nordic, Baltic and Russian products from Stora Enso Wood Products, UPM Kymmene and other minor suppliers. The pine is used mainly for joinery and spruce for construction purposes.

Stora Enso Timber doo in Koper, Slovenia is 100% owned by Stora Enso Wood Products. It sells soft wood products from the company's Central European sawmills to Algeria, Libya, Tunisia, Egypt, Saudi, Yemen, Kuweit and Qatar. Goods to those markets are served from SEWP Austrian, Czech and Polish sawmills, with complimentary hard- and softwood products from other producers from Central Europe.
