Reducing CO2 emissions 

During the past five years, Stora Enso’s pulp, paper, board and converted product facilities have reduced their direct fossil CO2 emission intensity by 21% due to investments in energy production assets and mill energy efficiency projects. These investments were designed to increase the use of biomass and to improve the efficiency of energy generation and production processes.
