New EMAS reports published

Nine European mills have now published their EMAS reports for the year 2006. The majority of Stora Enso's European mills are certified to EMAS, the European Union's Eco Management and Audit Scheme, which requires regular reporting about each mill's environmental performance. Mills publish both full EMAS statements and shorter interim statements to provide up-to-date information for each year.

Summa Mill in Finland, Fors, Nymölla and Skoghall mills in Sweden and Maxau Mill in Germany have published a full report for 2006, while Imatra Mills, Enocell Pulp Mill and Kemijärvi Pulp Mill in Finland and Berghuizer Mill in the Netherlands have published an interim report.

The statements can be downloaded at www.storaenso.com/emas.

New reports will be published during the summer so check in regularly to download the latest publications. Printed copies can be ordered directly from the mills.
