Stora Enso Wood Supply has published its second environmental statement, which has been verified by DNV Certification Oy/Ab. The statement covers Wood Supply's five European Business Units' operations in 2006 and it has been prepared in line with the review of EMAS regulations.

The 2006 environmental statement continues the pilot project of 2005, which demonstrates the possibilities and challenges of multinational environmental reporting in an internationally operating company. "The year 2006 can be characterised as a year with stable, continuous steps and improvements in Wood Supply's environmental management and third-party verifications", comments SEVP, Elisabet Salander Björklund in the opening words.
