 Carbon Disclosure Leadership Index (CDLI) 

• In 2008, Stora Enso was ranked the best paper and forest product company in the Nordic region and the third best corporation in the category “carbon–intensive” companies.
• The CDLI is published by the Carbon Dislosure Project gathers information on the world's largest companies' green house gas emissions and climate change strategies.

 Dow Jones Sustainability Indexes (DJSI)

• Stora Enso has been included in DJSI STOXX since the launch in 2001.
• In 2008, Stora Enso received top industry scores in environmental reporting, climate strategy, sustainable management of forests as well as corporate governance.

FTSE4Good

• Stora Enso has been included in the FTSE4Good continuously since 2001.
• The FTSE4Good Index series inclusion criteria focus on environmental management, human and labour rights, countering bribery and supply chain labour standards.

Ethibel ESI Excellence

• Stora Enso is included in the Ethibel Sustainability Index  that includes the world's leading companies in terms of sustainability.
• Ethibel's inclusion criteria focus on social, environmental and economic aspects of sustainability.
