Stora Enso Eesti is responsible for the Estonian region and is a modern wood procurement organization, whose main activities include purchase of standing forest and round timber, as well as forest management.

We have operated in the Estonian wood market since 1993. The predecessors of our company were Lumiforest and Stora Forestry Balti, which were united after the merger of the parent companies Stora and Enso in 1998.

Stora Enso Eesti has a strong position in Estonian forestry because of long-term stable operations. The procurement area covers almost all of mainland Estonia as well as the islands. Some 50 people are employed in the 6 forest offices and headquarters. The round timber procured by Stora Enso Eesti accounts for a fair share of total round timber purchases in Estonia.

Furthermore, the share of the domestic wood sales has increased year by year. Local sawmills and industries are large customers.
