We have changed the game. Again.

Previously, glossy magazines and high-end printed products have required coated paper. Not anymore. Say hello to the most recent member of the Prima family. We call it PrimaPlus.

PrimaPlus has evolved from the groundbreaking PrimaPress which was introduced some 10 years ago. It has the brightness and gloss that you’ve seen before in PrimaPress, but with added bulk for a nice, high-end touch and feel.

Thanks to our unique calendering technique, this new uncoated magazine paper performs well in applications that have traditionally been exclusive to lightweight coated papers. It can be used not just in supplements, but also in weekly magazines with strong editorial content where quality demands are higher and touch and feel really make a difference.

PrimaPlus provides all the benefits of LWC, but with more value for the money. You can save costs by using the lower basis weights because the paper is 10% thicker than the standard sheet, or you can get a thicker magazine by using fewer pages.

A responsible environmental choice

Without compromising on quality, it is now possible to meet the highest environmental standards even for glossy magazines. The raw material used in PrimaPlus comes from Scandinavian forests and it is completely traceable. An added benefit is that the low weight and high bulk leads to more efficient transportation and handling – you can simply fit more paper into a given loading space.

Available from 45 gsm - 70 gsm with FSC as well as PEFC certified fibre source.
