A recyclable packaging paper that is both strong and light

Paper may be an age-old technology, but at Stora Enso we are constantly challenging what it can be used for. LumiPack is our latest development – a packaging paper that is lighter than cartons and liners but stronger than traditional paper and proven for food-safety.

This means LumiPack can be used for many different applications – as an alternative to the fluting and/or liner in corrugated cardboard, as a multi-layer food carton for berries, or why not as a pouch for small items instead of plastic? The innovation lies in a paper which is both strong and light.

It’s time to rethink what paper can actually do. With LumiPack, you get a white packaging paper that is not only lighter, but also has improved mechanical properties compared to many traditional paper grades.

LumiPack as fluting and/or liner

In terms of usage, there are many benefits with LumiPack – due to its lighter weight and high bulk, transportation costs can be lowered while simultaneously creating greater environmental benefits.

Food safe

LumiPack has proven food safety and is certified according to the highest standards used in contact with food.

Strong, lightweight and eco-friendly

LumiPack’s high tear, burst and tensile strength means it’s an eco-friendly alternative to a lot of plastic packaging. Whereas paper may have previously been unsuitable for certain types of packaging, LumiPack now makes it possible to create packaging shapes such as pouches or bags out of paper.
