Senior Manager Wood Products Applications

In 2010, I joined Stora Enso as a SAP specialist for Wood Supply Sweden. I gradually went through various roles and worked my way up to the position of Director, Sourcing, Warehouse & Plant Maintenance Applications. Since 2022, I've been working in the Wood Products division, where, besides leading the team, I also deal with the financial analysis of applications and their added value within our division. What I like about working at Stora Enso is the company culture, which gives space for personal development and supports career growth.

I joined Stora Enso in 2017 when the financial department was newly established at the Ostrava branch. As an Order to Cash Manager, I participated in defining financial processes and collaborated with colleagues to shape our department and integrate it into the division. Currently, I work as a Project Manager, focusing on projects in controlling. I am grateful for the friendly atmosphere and the opportunity to balance work and family life.

It has been almost 7 years since I joined the company with only theoretical knowledge in the field of finance. Since then, I have participated in many interesting projects where I gradually gained practical experience in the industry and insight into the company's operations and processes. I also had the opportunity to lead people, which is a great responsibility and challenge that taught me to handle multitasking. Stora Enso offers me a range of opportunities to apply my knowledge and skills, but also connects me with great colleagues from other countries who can be not only a support but also friends. I joined Stora Enso in 2014 as a Trainee Tester. Over time, I transitioned to a full-time position as CRM Developer, then Scrum Master, and now I work as the Manager of the CRM team. My responsibilities include not only leading the team but also delegating tasks, release management, and communicating business requirements. I am grateful for the opportunity to work from home and also for the freedom to do my work in a way that suits me best. However, what I value the most are my team colleagues, as they create a great work atmosphere, and I can always rely on them 100 %.

I began my career at Stora Enso as a Junior Specialist in the Service Desk team in 2010. A year later, I transitioned to working as an SAP HR Specialist focusing on Travel Management. Since 2022, I have specialized in the internal HR system Workday, specifically in the recruitment area. My main responsibility is to ensure that the recruitment system and processes function smoothly across the organization. I have always valued Stora Enso as an employer primarily for its recognized values and the corporate culture it fosters for its employees.

I started working at Stora Enso in 2012 as a Collaboration Support Specialist. Over the years, I have held various positions and worked on multiple projects, from software development to managing innovation processes within the company. Currently, I hold the position of Head of Data Availability in Global Business Services and I am also the Site Manager for our Ostrava branch. I appreciate the broad opportunities for self-realization, the company's openness to new technologies, and the excellent working environment created by colleagues and corporate culture during my time at Stora Enso.

Manager, Geographic information system

I am fascinated by the topic of sustainable forest management, and throughout my professional career, I have gained experience in this field both in government and small and large companies. I joined Stora Enso in 2016 as a GIS developer, and since then, I have come a long way professionally. Thanks to the inspiring environment, I have the opportunity to constantly develop my skills and abilities not only in geoinformatics but also in working with people and leading projects. In addition to development and programming, I have also taken on the role of a team manager, which brings me new challenges. I highly appreciate the fact that in our team, a high technical level blends with a personal, human approach, which is not always the norm in such a narrowly specialized GIS field.

In the past, I worked as a helicopter pilot for the Czech Army. However, since childhood, I've been fascinated by the IT field, in which I've been actively developing, and a few years ago, I started dedicating myself to it professionally as well. The change of profession has given me the opportunity to pursue work that I enjoy, while also allowing me to spend more time with my family. At Stora Enso, I am involved in the development of web applications. I appreciate the flexibility in scheduling, the option to work from home, and the modern working environment in the centre of Ostrava.

I really enjoy the opportunity to tackle new tasks every day and absorb new ideas and challenges that we solve together in our team. Senior Developer

I joined Stora Enso in 2014 as a fresh graduate, almost untouched by practical experience, from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering at VŠB-TUO, taking on the role of Junior Developer for the WPS system. Over the years, I took on additional responsibilities - managing the frontend framework including TreeGrid technology, mentoring, and overseeing the technological development of the system. After almost ten years, I have transformed from an inexperienced newcomer to an experienced developer with involvement in nearly every area, certainly keeping busy. Some periods at Stora Enso have been more challenging, but we always managed to overcome them. Stora Enso proudly stands by its values, which are one of the main reasons why I am still here. The future is in nature, and Stora Enso is trying to show us the way.

Experienced Data Scientist

I joined Stora Enso as a GIS Trainee while still studying at university. Before graduating, I started working as a Junior GIS Developer. Working with spatial data has always fascinated me, and this interest led me to my current position as a Data Scientist in the Forest Division. We solve various tasks here, whether it is the processing and analysis of data from drones, satellite data or aerial scanning data. Working at Stora Enso gives me the opportunity to grow professionally, work with a wide range of talented IT professionals and together find optimal solutions to complex problems.
