Stora Enso Paper Division comprises the following paper mills: Anjala (Finland), Hylte (Sweden), Langerbrugge (Belgium), Maxau (Germany) and Nymölla (Sweden).
Sustainability in Stora Enso Paper Division is managed in the following 3 areas:
- Sustainable raw materials
We are committed to sustainable forestry and 100% of our wood comes from sustainable sources. Additionally, Stora Enso is one of the largest consumers of Paper for Recycling (PfR) in Europe. - Sustainable processes
Our paper mills are working in compliance with legal requirements and aiming for continuous performance improvement in the areas of Environment, Occupational Health & Safety, Quality, Forestry/Chain of Custody and Energy Management. The necessary operational and organizational structures and procedures are part of the overall management systems applied at the mills.
- Sustainable products
We offer products with superior environmental performance. More than 90% of Paper Division’s own brands are covered by one or more recognised ecolabels (EU Ecolabel, Blue Angel, Nordic Swan).
