Stora Enso was last night awarded for its work with brand-building & communications at the “Stora Kommunikatörspriset” event, a major Swedish communications award ceremony that is held annually.

The award is issued by Sveriges Kommunikatörer (The Swedish Communication Association), with Stora Enso awarded for best communication in the “industry” category. The jury’s motivation for the award was as follows:

“With sustainability at the foundation of their strategy, Ulrika Lilja and her communications team have transformed the brand from a traditional industrial company with a worn-down reputation to a successful company that embodies sustainability and renewal. The communication team has carried out a change process in which Stora Enso’s trust and credibility have been strengthened. Stora Enso shows that a management group that invests in strategic communication can achieve impressive results.”
