Bergslagets Skogar hosts its first Capital Markets Day on 3 November 2026

STORA ENSO OYJ PRESS RELEASE 30 October 2026 at 9:00 EET

Bergslagets Skogar will host its first Capital Markets Day (CMD) in Stockholm, Sweden, on 3 November 2026, marking an important step in the preparations to separate Bergslagets Skogar from Stora Enso into a standalone listed company, subject to customary approvals.

The separation is intended to accelerate shareholder value creation by unlocking the full potential of two more focused businesses. As separate companies, Bergslagets Skogar and Stora Enso would each be better positioned to pursue their core strengths and market opportunities.

Bergslagets Skogar would offer investors exposure to a distinctive, high-quality asset base of more than 1.2 million hectares of Swedish forest land, with potential for sustainable long-term value appreciation through advanced forest management and land value optimisation. For Stora Enso, the demerger would enable more focused capital allocation, reduce complexity and sharpen focus on renewable materials and packaging.

“We are presenting Bergslagets Skogar as a standalone business with a clear strategy, strong asset base and disciplined financial framework. As Europe's largest listed pure-play forest owner, we expect to combine stable cash flow generation from responsible wood trade with opportunities to create additional value through renewable energy and future climate solutions. We believe this will provide a compelling platform for long-term shareholder value creation”, says Tuomas Hallenberg, CEO of Bergslagets Skogar.

At the CMD, Bergslagets Skogar’s management team will present the planned strategy, business model, financial profile and long-term value creation framework for Bergslagets Skogar as a separate standalone business. The CMD, hosted at Wisdome in Stockholm, will be followed by a visit to Bergslagets Skogar’s planned headquarters in Falun, Sweden, combined with a forest field visit on 3–4 November.
