The corona virus forced companies and consumers alike to look for new solutions to everyday needs. Government’s orders to limit movement influenced the ways people buy and pack supplies – and this impacted packaging production, too. Demand decreased for certain products, but respectively, the orders for home deliveries in boxes increased to an unprecedented level.
Takeaway food, too, has been in great demand during the epidemic. The need for hygienic and safe packaging has been felt at Stora Enso, both in design and production. During the spring, many novelties in addition to existing products have been dispatched from the production facilities to both farms and takeaway providers.
