Riikka Paarma joined as Director, Circular Economy in December 2018. She is responsible for introducing circular thinking across the company and key activities, tackling issues such as Stora Enso’s future role in the waste market, helping circular systems evolve, and supporting our businesses in closing the loop for materials.
Peter Sund is Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) Manager in the Biomaterials Division. He is somewhat new to the job, having joined Stora Enso in October 2019. It’s quite a career change for Peter: he is a trained police officer and a paramedic, specialised in anaesthesia. His previous role was managing ambulance and emergency services in Gävleborg county, Sweden.
Marko Valkeapää joined us in 2014 as Marketing Manager for the Paper division. After completing a marketing degree at Aalto University School of Economics, he has held marketing, product management and sales roles in industry and consumer products companies.
As Quality Manager at Wood Supply, Russia Kirill works in a team focused on providing customers with a stable flow of quality wood raw materials, delivered according to plan and with optimal pricing. He first joined as a project manager in 2005, when the Vyatka wood terminal opened, and then held positions as deputy terminal manager and procurement manager.
Lily Huang is Manager, Mill IT, in the IT and Digitalisation organisation, located in Beihai, China. She joined Stora Enso over 13 years ago, working in the forestry business before moving into IT. Lily’s team provides solutions and service to the packaging materials mill and forestry operation in Beihai.
Based in Germany, Sebastián Hernandez is R&D Manager, Building Solutions, in the Wood Products division. Sebastián studied architecture in his native Chile before moving to Germany and gaining extensive experience in the timber construction industry. In 2016, he joined Stora Enso as a Business Developer. He enjoys the culture of innovation.
