Sustainability 2020
The report reflects our Sustainability Agenda’s ten sustainability topics, addressed through a common four-level framework:
- Opportunities and challenges – how our Sustainability Agenda topics are currently affected by external factors and global trends. Please note that our corporate risk management assessment appears in our Financials 2020.
- Our policies – the relevant strategies and policies we use to address key opportunities and challenges.
- How we work – the processes, procedures, and systems we use to realise our strategies and policies.
- Progress – our progress on our sustainability topics during 2020.
GRI index available as a separate PDF file
The GRI index for the report is available as a separate PDF supplement. Stora Enso's Sustainability 2020 corresponds to the "Core" level in the GRI Sustainability Reporting Standards.
CO2 data assured at Reasonable Level
The Sustainability 2020 is assured by an independent third-party assurance provider with a level of limited assurance.
For the sixth year running, a level of reasonable assurance has been provided for Stora Enso's reporting on direct and indirect fossil CO2 emissions (scopes 1 and 2).

SASB

Developing responsible business together with FIBS
Stora Enso is FIBS partner in 2021. Together with FIBS we organise three workshops and one seminar for FIBS Pro members under the theme of “Future of Sustainability Reporting”.
