Integrated annual report

Integrated annual report includes a strategy overview, sustainability performance, financials, and corporate governance and remuneration reports.

GRI content index

The GRI content index lists disclosures with reference to the GRI Standards and refers to the locations where these issues are addressed.

SASB content index

The SASB content index provides information in line with the SASB's Forest Management and Containers & Packaging standards.

EU Taxonomy

Reporting in accordance with the EU Taxonomy disclosure requirements is described in the Report of the Board of Directors.

Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures

The TCFD index table lists disclosures in accordance with the TCFD recommendations, detailing climate-related risks and opportunities.

Task Force on Nature-related Financial Disclosures

As a ‘TNFD Early Adopter’, Stora Enso intends to publish its first TNFD-aligned report for the financial year 2024. The Annual report 2023 describes our preliminary approach to the recommendations.

Biodiversity indicator reporting

Our science-based indicators in Northern forests monitor the conditions that affect forest biodiversity and asses the impacts resulting from forestry operations. The indicators for tree plantations monitor development of biodiversity in Brazil and Uruguay.

EcoVadis sustainability rating

In July 2024, Stora Enso was awarded the highest rating, Platinum, by EcoVadis for the eighth consecutive year. This achievement demonstrates the Group's continuous improvement in the areas of environment, labour and human rights, ethics, and sustainable procurement.

UN Global Compact

Stora Enso supports the ten principles of the United Nations Global Compact, an initiative set up in year 2000 to encourage businesses worldwide to embed sustainability into their operations. We respect and promote these principles throughout our operations and address our Communication on Progress via the UN Global Compact website, as a public record of our commitment.
