Performa Natura

Safe and sustainable paperboard, with no optical brighteners

If you’re looking for a paperboard for food and pharma packaging, Performa Natura makes a safe choice.

Performa Natura by Stora Enso features a technically advanced three-layer fibre structure for material efficiency, toughness, bulk and runnability. It is a fully coated CTMP board with a white uncoated reverse side.

Produced without OBA (optical brightening agents), Performa Natura makes a great packaging material for pharmaceutical packaging including prescription and over-the-counter drugs, as well as food packaging, where you can use Performa Natura paperboard for biscuits and baked goods, chocolates and sweets, dry foods and ice cream.

Performa Natura has the stiffness and strength in place and, combined with a suitable barrier coating, it provides protection against moisture, grease or oxygen, depending on the specific requirements of the product.

Barrier coatings for food-safe packaging

Performa Natura PE comes with a PE coating on its reverse side and is used in frozen food packaging, ice cream packaging and more. Performa Natura 2PE is also available.

Performa Natura Barr has PE coating on its top and a multilayer high-barrier coating on its reverse side to provide protection against moisture, grease and oxygen. Ideal for packing fatty or dry food with an extended shelf life.
